My client is currently searching for a business development manager with an excellent ability in selling geospatial product solutions to join their well known firm.

You will be working from home with a regional territory and expected to regularly travel and meet with potential clients to grow the firm's already sizeable customer base.

The role will involve a mix of 80:20 new business development to existing account maximisation so an ability to generate leads and network from your existing knowledge base will be imperative.

My Bristol based client is currently looking for 2 senior C++ developers. The role is a 4 month fixed term contract which means the salary is paid on a pro rata basis. As the nature of the work candidates must be able to undertake fast track security clearance or be security cleared.

Overview A vacancy is available within the Production Department for a C++ Developer. The role will involve working as part of a team on the development of server and client side components for a major government contract and specifically work towards obtaining a 100% code coverage through unit testing.

My client is a leading consultancy to the rail, utilities and local government sector. In addition to consultancy they supply bespoke software packages. Working from their Bristol office you will be involved with in-depth GIS development and testing (based on an ESRI setup). The software has been in development for some time and you will be joining a team of 5 others.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the setup is ready to be installed for delivery and the quality of the product. The position will involve running and enhancing automated test suites and updating or adding change requests. Working closely with the clients you will be required to convey their needs and as such be involved with the specification and prioritisation of product enhancements.

As this GIS software will be expected to be a leader of its class you will be responsible for testing the software with component and ad hoc tests, tracking bugs and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Excellent communication skills are vital as you will be required to demonstrate the products advantages and functionality in addition to working in an agile environment.

The GIS elements of the specification are key to the client as they have in place an existing development team and are looking for strong GIS professionals with ESRI skills to support them. In short we are looking for a GIS developer who can test!
